Our Services

From preventative check-ups to emergency care, we have you covered for all of your dental needs. Read about the various services we offer below!

Prevention

Prevention is the key to a healthy smile. Daily brushing and flossing are necessities, but not quite enough to ensure a healthy, happy smile for life.

The American Dental Association (ADA) recommends visiting the dentist at least twice a year. These checkups, along with professional cleanings, can help detect dental problems in their early stages. From there, if an issue such as gingivitis is present, a comprehensive treatment program can be tailored to save time and money, preserving one of your greatest assets- your smile.

Preventative services include comprehensive cleanings and exams, scaling, X-rays, and other diagnostics designed to prevent conditions like gum disease and address them before they become problematic. It’s critical to visit the dentist at least twice per year as part of a prevention program, even if you don’t currently have dental issues.

Restorative

Broken and/or missing teeth can have a huge impact on the appearance of your smile and your confidence. At Kulka Dental Associates, we thrive at not only restoring your teeth, gums, and mouth, but enhancing them using cutting-edge techniques that will keep your smile beaming for years to come. You’re free to eat and enjoy life with a beautiful smile that lasts a lifetime. We are a full-fledged General Dentist office offering a complete range of dental needs, including fillings, crowns, bridges, dentures, root canals, extractions, and cosmetics.

Single-Appointment Crowns

If a tooth is broken or has a root canal, a crown may be necessary. A crown serves to protect your tooth from further breakage, as well as restores its original look. At Kulka Dental Associates, we utilize state-of-the-art Cerec CadCam technology, which allows us to take a digital scan of your tooth and individually tailor a crown to your mouth in one appointment. There is no goopy material involved and no need to wear a temporary crown for two weeks; the information from the digital scan is sent to a 3D milling machine, which can sculpt your crown out of Lithium Disilicate, an extremely strong and esthetic glass ceramic.

Aesthetically Pleasing Cavity Repair

Tooth-colored fillings are composed of a biocompatible composite resin, which is a mixture of plastic, glass particles, and other ingredients. The resin is very flexible, and it can be shade-matched to blend in with the natural color of the tooth that surrounds it. Tooth-colored fillings are made out of the same material as cosmetic dental bonding. Benefits of tooth colored fillings include:

  • No Mercury

  • Limited drilling involved

  • Quicker appointment time

Bleaching Trays

We offer bespoke bleaching trays that are tailored to your individual mouth, as well as three different bleaching concentrations, depending on how strong you desire your results to be.

Pediatric

Our team strives to create a relaxed, welcoming environment where patients of practically any age feel at ease. When you bring your young ones to us for care, we will clean their teeth, look for signs of any issues that require further treatment, check the development of their dental structures, and give them valuable education to help them establish good habits. We may also recommend further preventive services for them, such as dental sealants or fluoride treatment.

Mouthguards / Sportsguards

We offer custom mouthguards, which are designed around your unique oral structures and provide a greater level of protection and comfort than what you can get from products purchased at a local sporting goods store. We also offer custom nightguards, which are designed to protect your teeth against damage caused by bruxism (involuntary teeth grinding). Not only does a mouthguard protect against injuries to the teeth and gums during sports, but it can also reduce the risk of concussion.

Invisalign

Everyone wants a smile full of beautiful, straight teeth. Now, there’s a drastically easier (and better looking) way to get the smile you want.

The Invisalign system offers a modern and discreet way to correct a misaligned bite and create the uniform smile of your dreams using a series of custom-made, invisible aligners to move the teeth. Invisalign clear aligners are fabricated from nearly invisible materials, meaning you can go about your day without anyone noticing!

Benefits of Invisalign over traditional braces:

  • Discreet - The Invisalign clear aligners are virtually invisible, which allows you to straighten your teeth without attracting any attention to your treatment.

  • Comfortable - Invisalign aligning trays are custom made from smooth plastic material to provide a comfortable fit that’s drastically improved from the pain and discomfort of traditional braces.

  • Removable - There are no restrictions to your diet, playing sports, or leading an active lifestyle because you can remove the Invisalign trays as needed.

  • Good oral hygiene - The removable Invisalign aligners allow you to clean your teeth normally without having to work between traditional clunky metal braces.

If you are a suitable candidate for Invisalign, Dr. Kulka will take impressions of your teeth and map out a custom treatment plan indicating the exact duration, amount of trays, and cost of your treatment.

Emergency Care

The first thing you should do in a dental emergency is call us, even if you are unsure whether your situation requires urgent treatment. Here is what you can expect to happen next:

  • Describe your situation as well as you can over the phone. We may recommend that you come to see us right away, visit the local emergency room, or render self-care for a day or two before you visit us. If you need to be seen right away, we can often provide a same-day appointment.

  • Evaluate and diagnose the issue. When you reach our office, your dentist will examine your mouth to determine the extent of the problem. In some cases, we may need to take X-rays.

  • Review your treatment options. Next, your dentist will review their findings with you and explain their recommendations for treatment. In some instances, more than one treatment are acceptable methods for addressing an urgent oral health problem. If that is true in your case, we will explain the price, pros, and cons, of each of your options.

  • Receive fast, professional care. As soon as a treatment plan is put in place, our team will get to work. Thanks to our state-of-the-art technology and variety of dental treatments, you will be out of pain and back to enjoying your healthy smile in no time.

Root Canals

During root canal therapy, Dr. Kulka accesses the interior portion of the tooth, which contains a soft substance called the tooth pulp. He uses special tools and medication to clean out the damaged or infected tissue. Then, he fills in the tooth with a special material to help prevention reinfection. After root canal therapy, a crown is usually necessary to protect the weakened tooth from further damage.

Tooth Extraction

If a tooth cannot be saved, or you decide that you would opt to have in removed, a tooth extraction may be necessary. If an extraction is simple, you should be able to resume your normal routine within a few days after the treatment. After the tooth is removed, we use gauze to control bleeding and may provide a prescription for pain relief, as well as a follow-up appointment to ensure you are healing properly.

Financing

We offer in-house, interest-free financing on Invisalign, crown, bridge, denture, and root canal work. Payment plans range from 6 months to 1 year in duration.
